where did you get these numbers? they don't match up to anything I've ever seen

Skyrim is sitting at a pretty 1.4 billion, not million, but he's right, preorders and such were much higher for Fallout 4 and it smacked Skyrim in the face pretty hard, making about 300k more in one day then Skyrim made in a week. A easy google search will tell you this, but for the record I'm using Fortune's report on Fallout 4 and Statistic Brain for Skyrim's numbers, because they are conveniently the first results for each games gross profits and don't contradict other sources.
