It was canceled because Capcom didn't approve of the show's storyboard writers. They said the show was completely nothing like the video game's storyline. It just strayed away into its own retarded plot.
That wasn't just the reason, it was also painfully corny.

The Megaman X movies were great. Though I wished they made more... Trust me, it's very corny. Go ahead and look up clips or episodes of the show. You'll see...
