I feel the only legit characters I feel should of been included is Megaman, due to his contributions in capcoms early years.

Any character who can offer something else would also be welcomed.

Mega Man is definitely missed from the roster, that's for sure. Not quite sure what Capcom was thinking. This could just be personal bias, but I definitely miss Cyclops as a playable character.

I love Cyclops and all, I do, but what would he really be able to do other than Optic Blasts? That'll get him by for a special and all, but he'd need more. He's got some good melee stuff too, but he's not a physical based character like Wolverine, so it's hard to just make up more stuff for him to do

Mega Man was initially in-game (that is too say, they reserved a spot for him), but the developers stated that designing him was increddibly hard ("we couldn't design him without making him look like Mega Man"), well yeah.. they did kinda screw up his specials. But hey, it's not like Super Adaptor and Hyper Mega Buster can be used, right?

After the developement crew couldn't create a Mega Man, they went ion too see what else they could do, and they found out Zero was just as popular, so Mega Man's roster spot was given to Zero instead.



Wasn't Phoenix (Jean Grey) already in game? Unless you mean Phoenix Wright, on wich I'll have to ask: 2 Capcom characters? Usually a Capcom character gets confirmed besides a Marvel character, never two Capcoms at once or two Marvels at once.

Hmm, now that I think about it, Strider was actually DISconfirmed for MvC3 to begin with (licensing issues). Plus, the creators revealed tha tStrider 'didn't fit in the concept'/ By this, I think they may have ment that Strider was too 'Japanish' for a game with super mega American superheroes (then again, Ryu and Chun-Li (then again, they're icons of the Capcom vs. series...). And hell, then they should've picked Lord Raptor (heavy metal Australian zombie) over the chinese zombie Hsien-Ko (then then again, Hsien-Ko was a developer favourite...))

IT WAS LUPINKO, you know, the guy who leaked the entire roster and was never wrong? He just decided to announce two very popular Capcom characters instead of MArvel.

Also, pointing this out, Megaman wasn't put in because they couldn't think of a moveset, not for any other reason.

Until Lupinko has been proven wrong, consider these characters confirmed.

That's what I ment: they couldn't design a viable and enjoyable Mega Man so they took him out.

Also, as long as I don't hear it from any official source, I take the stories with some salt. Even if he may have been right in the past.

Lupinko Confirmed Sentinal.

Days before he was announced, Nitsuma said he couldn't put in Sentinal.

People talking about how Lupinko was a liar began. Then when Sentinal was confirmed, we all started to take his word for it.

Moral of the story:
Take Lupinko's word before the freaking developers.

Where did Lupinko confirm this? I haven't been up to date on MVC3 news.

His twitter, he isn't saying it, but he's dropping hints. So he doesn't get screwed. But his references and such, he's implied Strider, Pheonix Wright, and Frank West are in, all his other hints are leading to major debates however.
I personally think he confirmed Megaman Starforce but others disagree.

What hints did he exactly give?

Also, what did he say that implied that Frank West was in? I'm really curious and I really want to know if Frank West still has a chance of being in MvC3.

Gotta say, I REALLY hope Frank West gets that spot, and not Chuck. (it is very likely, considering the developers already wanted to put Frank West in...)

Also, Mega Man Starforce doesn't really strike me as a green-blue wizard.

It remids me more of the Green Lantern, but that makes no sense in any way.
