At least Sonic Boom was memorable for how silly and broken it was. MN9 just looks boring, and that's arguably worse than a broken game could ever be.

sonic boom also at least has the excuse of being made on an engine that was never supposed to run on the wii u. sega signed that contract with nintendo for three exclusive sonic games sometime during development, so they had to move all their work to something that should never (and could never, judging by the framerate issues) have been able to run it

if you don't want to buy Mighty No 9 you can always use a Nintendo 64 emulator

or you could play that game on steam like megaman

or that other game like megaman

Alternatively play Metal Gear Rising that is also a fun game

gunman clive has some pretty megaman-y level design and it's only a few dollars on the eshop

Undertale and the Stanley Parable combined cost less than half of what you have to pay for Mighty No. Nein. They're both much better games too. Let this sink in.

Playing through mighty number 9 just felt awkward for me. It's like if you give classic megaman the dash from the x games minus the freedom that comes with it (the dash is kinda wonky to me). And to top that off the platforming is designed to f*** you up if you decide to speed through the level. Even though dashing through everything is encouraged because of the execute(?) system.
