How should Sora best take advantage of Flowmotion while avoiding unnecessary Self Destructs? Can we chain a number of them together in one combo and are there effective ways to safely lead into Flowmotion? It's clear that it will be important to use the ability to the fullest but while avoiding the risk of SD's.

The only people I've seen SD from flowmotion are people who abuse it and don't do a whole lot else with Sora. Flowmotion should be pretty deep in your bag of tricks, and perhaps even a recovery option before an offensive weapon. It's just easy to see coming. If you become adept at moving vertically with it, then it can become a nice way of throwing off your opponent. But simply using it on flat ground isn't going to fool very many people.

I actually find that Flowmotion is one of the few things that completely shut Ichigo down. Though the rest of the matchup is quite hard due to his weight and size...

It's pretty useful to stop spamming, but if the Ichigo player isn't spamming I find it doesn't combo into as much as his grabs or other setups.

i say that his up flowmotion and down flowmotion shouldnt have that much of a knock back as they do now. it should have enough so the opponent can be easily comboed into other attacks. close but distant enough so its not punishable. also it should have a set knockback and not one that can be raised when percentages are high

Ever heard of DI? You're not exactly supposed to be focusing on combo's at high %'s, instead, getting a kill in. Though he weak, so I don't blame you for wanting to rack up extra damage. I honestly believe that I play one of the best Sora's due to my aggresivve nature ingame. I play this way with almost all my characters, but Sora in particular I have fun with. His attacks are fast and have high priority, with the exception of his specials. Overall, I believe him to be a great character with a solid moveset with just enough weaknesses to keep him balanced. It's pretty amusing to rush in and just randomly throw out attacks and see how your opponent reacts.

He's a combo monster, but I often find opponents living after 150% because he has no good kill moves or gimps, so he really requires that you use his combo potential to the fullest to be effective. He's really fun to play because you're always comboing and gaining hits, and it only gets a little frustrating to not FINISH HIM!

Pretty much why I stopped using him. The combos become less satisfying and more frustrating because they never end with a kill move. If he had a dangerous fair, like Sheik dangerous, he'd be a beast. Right now he's just sort of precious.

He takes time and dedication to get used to, aggresion is the key to win with Sora. He's weak, but if you play him right, the opponent will most likely be at high %'s anyway.
Just kill em' off with a fsmash, usmash, dspecial, or fair (if it isn't stale).

Fsmash isn't as good as it used to be, fair is a staple combo move, and dspecial is pretty hard to combo into. I find myself using usmash almost all the time as a kill move, which is a problem. However, I think if they buffed his other kill moves he'd be OP, so I'm pretty happy with where he is. You can't have crazy combos and insane kill moves.
