i forgot about this one, i listened to it a couple months ago and it didn't really stick out to me at all. it had some nice parts but nothing that was really great. i think he overestimates his ability to produce emotion in his music. he relies too heavily on that and then his actual tunes are just average for the most part.

the only flashbulb album that's really been super enjoyable to me is red extensions of me. i like that album. kirlian selections is alright too, but again, nothing too special is ever going on. honestly, i think i liked hardscrabble more than this new one as well. hardscrabble had a couple of neat concepts going on.

this is probably the best and most interesting album i've heard this year

i guess the best labels would be folk / indie rock / folktronica

it's tough to describe, though. nick zammuto has been making music that is very unique for almost 15 years.

New Bjork album
Hopefully something from Oneohtrix Point Never
Hopefully something from Sufjan Stevens
Hopefully a new Massive Attack album that doesn't suck like Heligoland

that's about it so far, i havent heard many actual confirmed projects that i'm excited for

logan showed me Viet Cong self titled and from what i've heard from it it's really nice, i haven't finished listening to it yet but it's good
i have yet to listen to the new airospace album but i'm excited to hear that soon too

I didn't listen to many new albums I guess but Casualties of Cool was brilliant

n**** on the Moon was good too but for completely different reasons

Both of the albums I've listened to from this year I have loved.

Those albums being Viet Cong's s/t and the new Panda Bear.

(Well I didn't really love the new PB, but it was pretty cool.)
