Now, back to, oh yeah. The Tier List debate. There is no reason, whatsoever for Zelda and Yoshi being low in Melee. They can easily stomp C. Falcon, when used right. Hell, I am great at Zelda (w/o Sheik).

Also to raise, if there's a Sheik/Zelda tiered in Brawl, why doesn't Melee have it?

And about Link's placing, he should at least be #1 in 64, #8 in SSBM and #14 in Brawl. I'm sticking with it because not enough people:

1. Play as him.
2. See how amazing he actually is.

Ike was supposed to be extremely fast. But power got the better of the developers.

Also, Link does have great knockback and great speed. F-air, D-Air, U-air, U-Throw, D-Smash, S-Smash, and S-Tilt are great examples of both knockback AND speed. You just need to time it just right for D-Air and U-Air.

For once he's right about something, Ike actually was a fast character in the FE series, but stuff like that doesnt always translate exactly into Smash. I think they wanted Ike to contrast Marth, who is a fast character. Just like how Roy was slower than Marth in Melee.

Sorry but, Isaw is amazing at Link, plays him like a complete madman. Rapes people higher and lower on the tiers (hue) and doesn't give no f***. But does that mean that Link deserves to be higher on the tier list? No, not necessarily.

Link doing well (as you claim) against specific characters higher than him on the tier list doesn't necessarily mean he should be higher. Tier Lists do not determine who will necessarily win in any certain matchup, in fact if that were true than "upsets" happen a lot more often than they "should". Tier lists are determined through a weighted analysis of each character's matchup spreads, where if they do badly against Metaknight (S tier) they lose more "points" than being good vs Captain Falcon (S for s*** tier).

Also I would put it out there that you probably don't understand the game as well as you think you do, due to a lack of good offline opponents, beating computers handily and thinking you know all there is against brawl. The Links who have thought the same way you do have gone to tournaments and have failed to show that Link DOES in fact deserve a higher spot on the tier list. Claiming you can prove otherwise is laughable at best.
