wtf are you guys talking about. When has he died several times?

They've done cut aways where he's in heaven or something as a joke...if he's ever died before it was for the sake of a joke. Nothing that was ever supposed to be taken seriously. In fact in one episode Stewie tricks the family into thinking Brian did die, and they are gather around crying. It was a sad episode.

Did you even see the episode? It's obviously not the same thing, but whatever.

"Killed him but he survived".

Right forgot about the Vegas one, but it was different because by the end of the episode everything was back to normal. Also you knew it wasn't anything serious because of the clones.

He's also a talking dog.

It's a cartoon, the point is they writers have made a deliberate choice to kill him off. They made an entire episode devoted to it, probably the saddest episode of the series. Who said he's not permanently dead? That would be news to me, but good news. I know his name appears in future episodes, but they could just be about him without him being in it, or flashback episodes where he's in them but he's not actually back to life.

It does and it doesn't. For the most part it's episodic, but there are things that happen that are referenced in later episodes.

Also some content is canon, like Brian's death.

Also Diane Simmons death, Mort's wives death, etc.

Kenny's death was canon in South Park for a while too, they still brought him back, and Family Guy's creators don't have the balls the South Park guys do

Evidently they do

in terms of killing off characters anyway.

(Because I would be s*** if I tried to negate that statement)

I can't watch a full episode of this. They only occassionally have some funny moments. Such as "Wack Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man" or "The Obama Monument"

That completely over done joke is a funny moment to you?

Anyone who thought he wasn't coming back is silly.

I think like the Simpsons, if you run for too long, you'll start running out of ideas. South Park takes one step forward by making fun of controversial topics, not caring who they insult, really.

like I said, most likely going to be a flash back episode.

The episode he died ending with Stewie saying to Vinnie "You have a lot of good stories to catch up to!"

So the flash back episodes (including that one) will probably be Stewie telling Vinnie stories about Brian.

That's my guess.
