Kirb-Star's Sprites - just doing some stuff

The animation looks really clean, but the only problem I see with it is that the spear doesn't move angles towards the screen like it does in RTDL. I'm looking forward to any more Bandana Dee goodness you make!

Thanks for the comments! I kinda see your point of the spear not changing angles towards the screen, but I decided to make it like this because, well... the sprite is 2D and I'm making the sprite for a 2d Project, which means the spear always has to look towards the screen so the player can visualize it a lot easier.
Besides, making more variants of the spear like that would be too much time-consuming for me, I hope you understand :)
(Also, plase tell me which costume you liked the best, I'd love to hear it :luigi: )
Now, taking advantage of the situation, I'm reposting this because the last page ate the images.

Decided to make some KSSU editing, specifically Waddle Dee. I made a walk cycle animation for him:

I was never too fond of his walking cycle he used it in-game (which is the same one Bandana Dee uses in SSF2 Beta), so I decided to make it resemble its Kirby's Return to Dream Land counterpart. Here's the original for comparison:

Yes, I also changed the palette to closer reflect his appearance in newer games.
And yes for the heck of it, I made some animations:

And just for the hecker of it (?) I decide to make some palette swaps for him:

2- Based on Waddle Dee's appearance in Dream Land 3 and Dream Course.
3- Based on a multiplayer palette from Rainbow Curse.
4- Based on a multiplayer palette from Rainbow Curse. Also based on one of Parasol Dee's palettes in the cancelled Kirby GCN.
5- Based on a palette for Waddle Dees from Nightmare in Dream Land. Also based on Meta Knight.
6- Based on the Painted Waddle Dees from Canvas Curse.
7- Based on Wapod from Dream Land 3. Also based on a multiplayer color in Kirby 64.
8- Based on a cancelled palette from Rainbow Curse, also based on Waddle Doo's color in Helper to Hero.
9- Based on Big Waddle Dee's design from Triple Deluxe onwards.
10- Based on Waddle Dee's appearance in the Game Boy.
What do you think? Constructive criticisim is accepted ^_^

Ok, I understand. Once I was actually working on a Bandana Dee project and it was super annoying to attempt to animate the spear movements. I guess #8 is my favorite since I really like it when light blue and white clash like the sky.

My constructive criticism is to give more weight to the character. I would add a bounce to each step, squishing him when his foot hits the ground and when he is at the apex of the walk cycle he (lifting his foot the highest,) he should be raised a pixel. This would add a lot in aiding the viewer to understand that Waddle-dee is a pretty squishy guy.

I would do the same thing with the spear too, by the way. Have it drop a little lower to show it's weight having an effect. The spear part may not work as well but it's worth trying.

It's been a while since I updated. I haven't done much since rather than simply some KSSU edits.

I've also been struggling to give her a decent idle animation, anyone could help on this? Constructive criticism is muy apreciado.

^These are basically the stock icons. Since I didn't want to just shrink the existing artworks, I translated them into a sprite in the same size as the fighters themselves and took the head.
