You can essentially wavedash with Luigi via dash-canceling. If you start a dash, or are mid-running animation, release the direction key and tap down quickly - Luigi will stop running, but traction will carry him crazy far, AND he can act during the animation. If you mess up the timing, you'll just get the skidding-to-a-stop animation, although you can cancel that by jumping. This is definitely worth learning.

You can also use this to perform sliding attacks. The sliding Up/Down taunt in particular is really cool.

i would like to see luigi's victory animation from SSB back in some form.

The Bang Bang would be even better, but the devs are too lazy and just recycled taunts like the official games.

Also the Green Missile apparently stops animating but continues making the charging sound after a while which seems pretty weird.

Well, we could have both, certaintly would be better than recycle.

I don't know if anybody noticed this... but if you use 's Fireball and land on the ground after shooting it it automatically cancels, and If you slide of a platform after using his Up-B or Green Missile, you can act immediately.

My Opinion on : He has really good combos. With down throw into up-air, you can easily get around 20% with two or three up-airs. His back air is a surprisingly good kill move, killing at 140% when stale(I think), and Super Jump Punch is so satisfying to land. I wish his meteor hitbox for dair was a bit bigger, same with down taunt, but you have to take what you get. Luigi Cyclone kills at 140, his smash attacks are a gift from heaven, and his utilt can combo into itself on fastfallers for an easy 30%. Then you can camp slow characters out with Fireballs. Getting that misfire on his Green Missile is so hype. Overall, I think is at least mid-tier at worst, and possibly top-tier. But that's only my opinion.

This hasn't been active in a while but Luigi's down tilt is basically the root of all combos. If they don't DI at all, you can get a kill (not sure if it's a confirm) With D-tilt to Up-B. Same goes if they DI toward you. If they DI away, you can follow up with F-air strings. You could also use the F-air to get a kill. Votes to call this the Wee-Gee?

Why does every basic 2 hit combo need a stupid name? People dont go around call Fox UThrow Uair the Star-Fox or some crap like that either.

Arrogant people who can only spam or do something stupid make it sound complicated, that's the point.

Take this person for example: he spammed kamehameha in Crusade 9.0 because it came out on first frame, and laughed and completely shattered your self-esteem if you lost (while spectating, kids got extremely angry to the point of tears ). He then called himself the "King of Smash", because he beat several kids.

It was the cringiest thing you would ever see in real life.

I forgot his name, but he abused the properties of it and the kids couldn't do anything.

For some reason, when you pressed down, you'd perform a smash attack like a c-stick instead. There was no way to fix this, so the owner of the laptop didn't really try to fix it extensively. This meant you couldn't reflect it, and only cape or Phoenix wright could do anything about it. Also, since it came out instantly, the kamehameha would hurt those who caped it.
