How do you make a transparent background on Flash MX?

With CS4 you would make your background an MC and then go to properties > color effect > alpha, to make it transparent. It should work the same in MX, just find where the alpha effect is. You can change how transparent it is by highering or lowering its percent.

If the file type you're exporting supports transparency, just don't color there, and it will be transparent.
