While it is self-contradicting, it is the only thing that really makes sense. All the others have a reason to be the 'odd one out'. The King does not.
EDIT: Then again, that means he does have a reason to be the odd one out, so... all of them can be the odd one out. It's really quite a confusing riddle.

Current Question:
Using four fours as well as any other mathematical signs (powers and x roots must have a four and only a four), make the numbers 1 to 10.
I'll do a version of 0 for you: (4!/4)-4-√4
It's very easy for many of them, however as you go higher, they get progressively more and more difficult (assuming you feel like straying further than 10)

Now for ten:??? Numbers missing so far: 3,9,10 I will edit once I can figure the rest out also are calculators banned?

Okay 4/4 is on3 one four plus four is eight now eight plus one is nine I did the math over and over you must be stupid or not even know basic math... it's Order Of Operations you do the four divided by four first and you do realize you accidentaly gave me nine and just gave me three through your stupidity we got two of them... anyways for 3: (4+4+4)/4
Now all we are missing is the 10
