I was gonna type this like a week ago but Link's boomerang really isn't op. First he throws it slow as a snail, then it takes like 3 seconds for the normal boomerang to travel, then it becomes gale.

If you really can't jump backwards or shield it you can spot or roll. It's not really anything special to call for a nerf.

Shuts down way too many approach options essential for some characters. Without approaches, Link's projectiles are broken.

Who exactly? Boomerang isn't as bad as some people though it to be. Perhaps I can help?

Kirby & Metaknight. Boomerange(spelling intended) combined with his smash range forces Kirby and MK to play defensive, when playing too defensive on Link like that leads to you racking up so much damage without much of an opportunity to combo or approach close without huge repercussions. This is on wide stages, though.

It's tough, but as Kirby or MK you just have to grit your teeth, powershield a few projectiles, and try to get past the onslaught by dodging and weaving. I think these aren't massacres, but are close: 70-30 would be a conservative estimate, and 80-20 would be a pessimistic one. Even on stages like WarioWare, you have trouble getting in.

I can agree with with the kirby matchup but for meta knight it honestly depends on the stage you're in.... If it's on a stage like battlefield, smashville, or really any stage that has platforms then link definitely has the advantage. However if its a stage like FD, 3DS, or TOS. Then it would be in Meta Knight's favor since link can't really camp around platforms giving metaknight a easier time being aggressive.

You all treat it like it's impossible. You won't win with that attitude. His camping game is perfectly bearable, you outclass in in aerial prowness brahs.

link feels really good this version although his grab game seems kinda meh. his grab has alot of start-up lag making it had to punish with or use out of shield. also his down and back throws seem to be the only throws worth using.

O meh gosh brah, it's fine. It's so fast, most don't see it coming. Besides, you should try Spin Attack as a mixup.

Spin attack covers way too much ground for how fast it comes out. It's like DK's up B, and Link is like half his size.

Spin-Attack has always been like that. The main thing is that Spin-Attack right now is that it doesn't have the ending-lag it should. It has like 7 frames of lag after the hit-box ends. So right after Spin-Attack, Link can act-out from the move almost immediately. It's extremely safe and low-risk for a reversal move that he can do out-of-shield.

I wouldnt say its pretty safe, you can sheild/spotdodge/jump/dashdance/roll to get out of it.

Good players'll recognize when you do UpB and know how to punish it, Links online kinda do it excessively lol

Spin Attack is a good move, but it is pretty punishable to just throw out: you'll get hit out of it. As long as you don't get in range and stay there, you have a pretty good chance of not getting hit with it.
