Okay, so when I try to install things, an error message always appears when I first start up installing things. It always says I have to complete the previous step or something like that.

Its a memory problem I think. You know, where the CPU tries to access a memory location that doesn't exist? You may need to consult someone trained in the field and not the forumites that dwell here.
