Cool! Thanks guys. I have some ideas for detailing the background. Hopefully I'll get it finished soon.
Any suggestions welcome. (the chamber of sages was a good one, but that could be a stage in its own right, which I might look into)

So here's an idea/example of what the stage might look like in the game (if there are expansion stages..). Still needs work.

The moon looks intriguing, I really like its design.

Cool thanks, but we still don't know if they will make expansion stages an available option so who knows. Anyway nothing new to show but I did do some work on my first stage, the Sacred Forest Meadow : I re-did most of the grass because it wasn't very good before, also I just threw in a very simple animation to show how the stage could look. I have some other stages I've been working on but nothing ready yet. Really looking forward to these new dev blogs, hopefully stages and music are part of them at some point. EDIT : oh and yeah the waterfall definitely needs to be done, but I've tried spriting waterfalls, I can't do it.

You're getting really good man I'm proud of you. I think that meadow looks phenomenal. I especially like the little animate white orb thingies.

Thanks! In the game there are those little orb things floating around and I thought the stage would look better and more alive with them, but this was just a quick example I did, I would make them better and make more of them floating on the stage at the same time if the stage was in the game.

So this is another stage I was working on. I used all the styles and techniques I've been practicing up until now. It's based on the Lost Woods, and the idea is that if you walk off the side of the stage you reappear on the other side, which makes sense as it was the whole point in the lost woods in the Ocarina of Time, sort of. Anyway it just adds a stage with something new. If all that is too complicated to code or program, then it could just be horizontal and vertical blast lines. I still want to sprite the owl from the game and have it perched on the tree branch. Also I want to add the skull kid somewhere, not sure how yet. There is still quite a lot of work to do (especially the background) but I wanted to share it and see what you guys think. critique away!

Don't really have any feedback yet, everything is spot on. I really like it, you've really picked up impressive momentum since you first started out.

That is amazing. If it is a transformation stage with sacred forest meadow could work well

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not a big fan of transformation stages though, sorry. Here is a small update, just added a few small details mainly. (characters added for size reference)
