I remember the devs mentioning at one point that anyone added to Super Smash Bros. Crusade is still fair game to be added to SSF2.
That being said, I wonder if the devs will add Shantae and Gooey.

Wait Didn't Gooey help doing that in Dreamland 3? I'm putting a lot of 2 and 2s together here, is Gooey Shadow the Hedgehog before Shadow the Hedgehog existed Anywho-- Gooey's been showing up in a lot of official art recently (Along with the animal buddies, who have been confirmed to appear in Star Allies VIA Clean Kirby's moves) so I wouldn't completely count Gooey out of the picture so PLEASE _________________Stay groovy, wherever your travels take you.
