Though I'm not sure how I can help a new member.. I'm still kind of learning how this place works and operates myself. Not like I've been active for ten thousand years.

But I've found that simply talking to people directly, and actually trying to make sense can go a long way. If it doesn't make people like you, it usually at least establishes some kind of neutrality. It's been working for me anyway. At least, I don't THINK anyone here dislikes me. :/
