I can't help it that Dolphin slash comes out in like 3 frames, and has a huge Hitbox :wee:. Side-b during hitstun is kind of silly IMO. Fun fact: there is no hit lag (at least for Marth) on the first 3 attacks of dancing blade, so it probably can be SDI'd.

yeah I definitely think that upB and sideB need a nerf. upB combo breaks without being punishable, and sideB is too fast and is hard to punish if used correctly.

It was a combo breaker in Brawl, and it had invincibility to boot! What I think it (and every other upspec that puts characters into helpless needs) is more landing lag when you land in helpless. Seriously, most recoveries if they land on the stage you can't really do anything to punish them.

Also you can fastfall out of them, further reducing the recovery time!

It took everyone this long to realize that Dolphin Slash could be abused like no tomorrow?

Wow.

I think I'm the only one that does dolphin slash chains here. I've never seen anyone go beyond two in a row.

Nah people just use dolphin slash as a get out of jail free card cuz it beats like everything and comes out super fast. Everything except the distance is broken on that move smh.

The people who played Marth before his buffs weren't the ones to abuse stupid strategies like spamming dolphin slash, so we hadn't known about it until the online spammers got a hold of him.

Anyone who uses DS as an actual offensive move or "spam" move is using the move completely wrong, and can only get away with it because of online's delay. When a Marth gets hit, if you aren't almost frame perfect on the followup he will have just buffered DS and can get out of the combo. The trajectory it sends on isn't good at all (unless tipped, which is actually a hard spacing), it just has a high amount on KB.

That doesn't make senses. Working doesn't make it correct, unless it's a true alternate solution. 2 + 2 doesn't = 22

That makes even less senses when there are people who have broken legs and still go run in a 20 mile marathon.

On-tpoic of Marth's Dolphin Slash; I think it starts to become predictable when a Marth player will use it. I'm not sure how I feel about it completely, but I feel like Dolphin Slash is the least thing to worry about against an online Marth.

Dolphin Slash is comparable to other combo breakers in this game, so I don't see why it's super good. It's punishable on hit if you don't hit with the initial strike, and the startup and priority are comparable to other moves.
