The poor bugger got backstabbed by his own party; up until now they supported him in what they did, then out of no-where they ousted him.
Another thing you have to consider is that this isn't who Australia voted in as PM, so is it really fair that a new PM has been selected without any public input?

We voted Labor as the leading party, and Kevin Rudd was head of the party, so when the head changed to Gillard, she's the new prime minister too.

But anyway, its only a few months till the next election.

Yes, but it is a lot more dangerous to do so when you are supposed represent your electorate, look at Manuel Zelaya for instance.

Even though he is in my eyes a lot better than the Conservatives who are in power now.
