As soon as I got my hands on v.09b, I decided to see what chibi robo could grab...

Not sure why I laughed when I grabbed this...

And I was surprised that I could even grab this

...And throw it back.

I just tried it myself vs. my friend, that was hilarious. Someone knows what else Chibi can grab? I'll try to write my impressions of him and maybe even guide (but it will took very long because I should be the one teached about Smash)

I honestly feel Chibi Robo is one of the best characters in the game. Not S tier, but maybe mid A. Good smashes, decent arial (that dair is insane, though), good specials, and I'd say he's pretty much the closest one can get to a "hard counter" for Link.

You're right.

God I love this character.

Everyone should go play the GameCube game if you haven't. It's...certainly going to be a game I'll never be able to ever forget.

I agree here, his games were one of the best on his consoles (and that means a lot), he was lovable, he was fun, he was weird, he had a potential. And now all of this is in the SSF2. I cannot wait to see stage based on his games, other changes (maybe we will get new special for him/item from his series which will be a Photofinder Camera) and even assist trophy/ies based on those crazy characters.

Is Telly Vision crying at the results screen when Chibi loses?
If so, I was expecting him to be crying a waterfall like in the actual game... xD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBcljSi00bY#t=36m55s

Too bad it's so damn expensive... grumblegrumble stuck with Photo Finder... :annoyed:

Aside from that, though, I love how natural he feels to control.

Chibi has epic mobility; overall long-range, for his small size. But he's got pretty low damage output overall, aside from Neutral-air = 8-13 per hit, Front-Smash = 19% close, 14% far, Back-air = 14%. Nair is probably his main tool. Many things as tilts, aerials, up & down throws, can be followed-up with Nair (or another moves). He gets a lot of free follow-ups for combos. If you focus on that, he can build-up percent fast.

He can short his laser to landing-cancel it. It'll stun him long-enough to do a possible Grab setup from a mid-far range distance. Those two moves compliment each others' uses very well.

He's a very interesting and well made character. I look forward to using him a lot.

I'm having a hard time using Pick Up.
Does it only work on thrown projectiles?
