We got nothing better to do, aparently.

Because people are too stupid to look past their hatred of each other. They'd rather kill each other than work past their differences. That's why everyone thinks nukes, including myself (which is weird, because most Christians think the world will end in some supernatural way).

We should just set off all the nukes and stuff so there aren't any more. That seems like a logical and reasonable thing to do.

We could send them to the sun, that way, nobody gets them. Or at least take out the nuclear warheads. Those rockets could possible be rigged to do other things, like say carry stuff in to orbit.

I doubt it. Supernovae are bigger. Also, the Cold War is a pretty interesting part of history to study. I recently found out Thailand may have possessed nuclear weapons pointed at China and Russia in the 70s before China asked us to dismantle it. The silo is still there with an active guard so it makes me wonder if there is more than what the government lets on.

Fun fact: The USSR built an autonomous nuclear launch system that would retaliate if American missiles hit Russian soil.
