Not saying you're wrong, just wondering which ones

Well he was playable in Mario Kart DS, and he has cameo appearances in F-Zero, Kirby, and Warioware. I dont know if you would consider cameos, but yeah.

Mario Kart DS was there already, and the other appearances, not including Nester's star tropics references, and Rob's small appearances, ROB trumps him by 1 - 2 appearances;
But saying Nester isn't important to Nintendo history is wrong.

I think the vast amount of people who first heard of him with that April Fools post is an adequate counter point to that

The few who did do this probably weren't old enough to remember anyways
Just like how some had to look up who 'R.O.B' was, or 'Mr. Game and Watch'

Yeah because I have heard of Nintendo power, but I have never heard of Nester until now.

Game And Watch *and* Rob are both directly important to Nintendo's past

Nester's a no-longer-used character of a no-longer-running magazine that was only a side thing of Nintendo.

Yeah because I have heard of Nintendo power, but I have never heard of Nester until now.

Because he was their mascot, but they stopped making comics until the 20th anniversary and final issue
Nintendo Power itself plays a huge role in America, as there wasn't internet, and it acted as a monthly guidebook; Nester can represent that

Besides, Pit was also a 'no-longer used character' until Brawl.

No, Nintendo likes to include ROB in things for some reason

Nester only existed in Nintendo Power, as far as I know. I'd give you that Nintendo Power was a significant part of Nintendo's history, but the character himself? A character that only people who read the magazine would recognize?

Not at all, really.

I agree with the fact Nester isn't important himself, but if Nintendo Power were theoretically to be represented, he would be the representative.

Sure, but I don't really think it needs to be. Not with a character, at least. He'd make a really cool assist, though.

My brother is a huge supporter of Nester for some pretty ok reasons.

IMO it's a better idea than the 'duck hunt dog' as a character, but if he was an assist that'd really fit.

People on SmashBoards are speculating him as a playable character. He's strangely enough got a fanbase now. It doesn't make any sense.
