Is there any major difference in zelda's F-air and b-air? Like, is one more effective than the other in any way like knockback or damage?

Bair does more damage and knockback but the sweetspot is smaller

After playing the new patch it seems Din's Fire comes out faster and is slightly easier to control. Up-B also works differently if you use it in the air aiming down towards the stage; it can go a very short distance. I think this is better but needs to be tested. It seems she has actually improved a small bit, which is great. She is probably one of the strongest characters in the game.

She's seems mostly the same. I was good at controlling Dins before, so maybe that's why I don't really notice any improvement with them. I think her grab-range is slightly longer, and I haven't been able to test her Smashes can still be DI out of easily, but she's mostly the same. She's still going to have trouble against fast characters.

I thought I felt something different with Up-special. I think it makes it slightly better when aiming the recovery for the ledge.

It doesn't lol basically what they changed is that when Zelda uses FW in the air and travels diagonally downwards to a platform/stage FW ends earlier instead of traveling full distance. Also Zelda now can't teleport from a platform to the stage.

Pretty useless fix in my opinion since I was so used to FW's travel patterns. If they wanted to fix FW they should've fixed the way she angles downwind when traveling horizontally and just made it straight horizontal, or that she kicks up landing dust when she touches a platform or the stage whilst in FW. Sigh

Too powerful this girl is. After her being the bane of my existence whenever I went against the CPU I decided to try her out and oh my gosh is she a powerhouse. Too strong

Her setups are pretty real too. Sourspot F-Air or B-Air into U-Air.

Why does dtilt meteor? Zelda has so much power as is right now i dont think she needs a second gimping tool, especially one so fast and risk free. Not to mention it doesnt even remotely look like it would meteor. It looks insanely awkard when you hit someone with the move on their way down to the stage and then they bounce off the stage. Nothing about that move says meteor.

This isn't a salt thing (the move has yet to work on me but thats cuz Kirby) but just a general concern for the character. Her dtilt being a meteor is a bit much for her edgeguarding in my opinion, and just doesnt make sense.

Pls don't take the meteor away from me.. :( atleast it doesn't 0 death like it did in 9.a

And tbh I think Link's dtilt meteor looks alot more awkward than Zelda's.

Agreed.
At least Links still functions as a meteor on grounded people, but if it were up to me neither of them would have it.

At this point, I'm pretty sure they have it simply because their counterpart from Melee also meteored if sweetspotted.

On another note

Zalozis's Zelda gives me liiiffee

I like how he falls from platforms while simultaneously throwing out a Fair/Bair. I started teaching myself how to reverse Fair -> Bair lightning kick after watching him do it vs Sora's Peach.

Also does anyone else think it would be cool if Faore's Wind could conbo itself into the explosion hitbox like in Smash 4

Isn't Link's d-tilt a spike?

BOT: I think it's really odd that they have that, considering I don't think it feels like part of a cohesive character design but more that Melee did it and so it's thrown in. I would support taking it out.
