Waluigi
Serves Up A Storm

Waluigi is Wario's partner in crime. He is an exagerated version of Luigi who wears purple.
Appearances: Mario Tennis, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Super Sluggers, Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Strikers, Mario Strikers Charged

Waluigi's down special and victory have multiple options listed because I couldn't choose

Entrance - Dive
Waluigi will dive into the battlefield from the sky, like the captains do in Mario Strikers Charged

Jab - Punch, Kick, Baseball Bat
First Waluigi will punch with his left hand
Second Waluigi will kick with his right foot
Third Waluigi will swing a baseball bat, hitting the opponent away

Side Tilt - Tennis Backhand
Waluigi will swing a tennis racket in the backhand motion

Up Tilt - Tennis Overhead Serve
Waluigi will swing a tennis racket in the overhead serving motion

Down Tilt - Kick
Waluigi will kick

Dash Attack - Slide Kick
Waluigi will do a slide kick, similar to :mario:'s dash attack, but a farther slide
This come from Mario Strikers Charged, where you can slide kick to steel the ball

Neutral Air - Vines
In Mario Strikers Charged, Waluigi's mega strike has him, in the air, swing around a vine to hit the ball while he has a bunch of vines sprouting from behind him
This move briefly causes those vines behind him to appear

Forward Air - Tennis Backhand
Same as side tilt

Back Air - Baseball Bat
Waluigi will turn while whacking a bat with one hand behind him

Up Air - Tennis Overhead Serve

Z Air - Vine Tether

Side Smash - Super Strike Kick
Waluigi performs his super strike from Super Mario Strikers, but without the ball
This move causes a small explosion, similar to :bomberman:'s bomb punch (forward smash), when it hits

Up Smash - DDR Arrows
Waluigi will do a little dance, which causes arrows from DDR to quickly float upwards.
Specifically, the arrows fly up in the order of: Right, Left, Right, Left, Right and Left at the same time.
Press the directions in time with the arrows at the peak of their flight to make them stronger.

Down Smash - Break Dance Head Spin
His Project M down smash

Neutral Special - Backhand
This is the move from Mario Tennis Aces
Waluigi will perform a backhand with his tennis racket
This is a reflector
You can charge this reflector for a higher power and speed increase to the projectile you reflected
While charging you can jump once and move around, like :kirby:'s side special in Smash 4 and Smash Ultimate

Side Special - Star Serve
This comes from Mario Super Slugger
Waluigi will throw a baseball forwards. Hold B to charge this move for a faster and stronger throw.
Pressing up or down will cause the ball to curve in that direction after 1 second of flight.

Up Special - Air Swim
Waluigi will swim diagonally up. His arm strokes have hit boxes
We've seen Waluigi do this in a few games, like Mario Power Tennis.

(Option 1) Down Special - Candy
This move is a bit complicated and has a passive based around it.
Passive: When Waluigi hits an opponent, he may get a candy (from Mario Party 8) from the opponent, which he has to go collect. Waluigi's down special will then use that candy he is holding. Press taunt to drop your current candy. You can only hold one at a time.
Possible candies:
  • Bullet Candy - Waluigi's lower half will turn into a bullet bill's lower half, then he will dash forwards, hitting anyone he hits away. Works similar to the bullet bill item.
  • Thwomp Candy - Waluigi turns into a statue of his head. This move works exactly like the bowser bomb, but with super armor.
  • Bloway Candy - Waluigi's lower half turns into a tornado, as which he will dash forwards, knocking anybody he hits upwards.
  • Springo Candy - Waluigi's lower half turns into a spring, as which he will then jump to a random opponent, regardless of where they are.
  • Bowlo Candy - This turns Waluigi into a ball and lets him use Jigglypuff's rollout, but without the uncharged version.
  • Duelo Candy - This will give Waluigi max rage (from Smash 4) for 10 seconds
  • Weeglee Candy - This functions as a command grab. Waluigi will turn into three tiny versions of himself and dash forwards. If they come into contact with an opponent, they will search all over the opponent, knock out a candy, and steal some health
  • Cashzap Candy - This causes lightning to strike on the opponent. Has a 1 in 5 chance of backfiring.

(Option 2) Down Special - Fake Item Box
Waluigi will place down a fake item box. This will stun opponents.

(Option 3) Down Special - Item Box

  • Blue Shell - it's a blue shell

:ness: Can Absorb - nothing

Neutral Special: Cyclone Slash: The Knight charges and spins around with his nail, dealing 5% every hit. Can be used to recover by mashing, like Luigi Cyclone. More hits are dealt the longer the charge. Has a minimum of 3 hits.
Side Special:Dash Slash: Dashes forward and does a powerful slash, dealing 17% and kills at 80% or above. Gives a great distance of recovery.
Up Special: Super Dash: Dashes in one of eight directions, then slashes at the end of the dash.
Down Special: Focus: The Knight crouches and starts healing. Can heal up to 20%. Can be hit during his attack. Slows fall speed in the air.
Final Smash: Dream Nail: The Knight uses the Dream Nail to enter the enemies dreams (like the radiance) then attacks them with various spells, dealing 60%.
Taunts:
Normal: The Knight looks at a map.
Down: The Knight sits on a bench.

I took every move except Jab straight from Hollow Knight in some way, shape, or form. So can you guys pls review!

This Hollow Knight move set is really cool
I’d main
The down air double jump regain is interesting
I’d like to know his taunts
Also that line characters have when they join (Ridley hits it big time, Mewtwo strikes back, Lucas comes out of nowhere, Bowser Jr clowns the competition, etc)

You seriously need to get a feel for damage output. 17% on a throw is insane, especially if it chaingrabs and is combined with a 4% pummel. And then you have one that does 20%? Even for a kill throw, thats just ridiculous compared to the rest of his moveset, where (disbarring smash attacks) the strongest move he has does... 7%. 17% on a recovery move is also a bit much, and dont get me started on healing 20% (unless he uses SOUL up to five times with 4% each, but even then thats a free 20% during edgeguarding). Speaking of SOUL, that meter would have been quite interesting to implement, with Vengeful Spirit being a stronger projectile the more SOUL is available (and a full meter turning it into Shade Soul) for example.

Keeping his spells to his throws and dash attack of all things instead of, ya know, specials also strikes me as rather odd. Vengeful Spirit especially - it is the basic projectile-in-a-straight-line sped up massively in concept which would work perfectly for a Neutral B, and here we are with it as a dash attack when Sharp Shadow exists and literally is a dashing attack (that could also be a Fair if you wanna be a bit more creative I guess). Even Dash Slash would have worked here, but that is a decent fit as a Side B at least (either that or Super Dash as a spacie Side B ripoff and then Cyclone Slash as Up B a la Spin Attack, idk). Great Slash would have been the obvious pick for FSmash (ya know, charging it up and all that jazz and just being the most safe pick to make for the whole character), and similarly Abyss Shriek would be better suited to Up Smash instead of Up Throw. Also not a fan of Dair restoring double jump in addition to the height boost because that really isnt neccessary in Smash but maybe thats just me and my hatred for overly long recoveries.

I could go on here, but I'll just leave it at that before I get too carried away ranting. tl;dr~ really unbalanced damage output, rather... odd distribution of spells across the moveset, potentially broken healing ability, and wasted potential to really get creative. Sorry.

Abyss Shriek and Great Slash are both throws and smash attacks, sorry if I didn't make that clear. and Down -B would be a VERY slow move, making you vulnerable when ever you use it. and dair wouldn't give no height boost. also Neutral-B is a multi hit where each hit deals 5% and has a minimum of 15%.

i may get some backlash after posting this but...

to be honest,

Blade and Blue in SSF2 would not really be a bad idea.
sure, they are over a decade old fancharacters, but they were a big part in SSF1 and in the early development stages of SSF2, and it would be cool to see these guys back.

(also spikeman)

The Messenger
Delivers

Or (possibly a major spoiler, depends on interpretation):
The Messenger
Tells his own story

Achievement Unlocked - Shower of Moves: show
The Messenger is from the game The Messenger. It is a spiritual successor to Ninja Gaiden. The Messenger is a ninja in training who fights with a sword, a rope dart, shurikens, and a glider. He often comments on things. Any more background would be major spoilers for the game. I highly recommend the game.
Appearances: The Messenger

Entrance - Warp Gate
The Messenger comes out of a warp gate from the second half of the game.

Jab - Horizontal Slash, Horizontal Slash
The Messenger horizontally slashes his sword with his right hand towards the right, then he horizontally slashes with his right hand towards the left
This is his basic attack when standing still in game
It is a two hit jab

Side Tilt - Stationary Walking Slash
The Messenger horizontally slashes his sword with his left hand towards the left
This is the way he swings his sword when walking (But he won’t move for his side tilt)

Up Tilt - Rising Slash
The Messenger will slash his sword upwards with one hand
Similar to Ike’s up tilt, but more of a slash than a push

Down Tilt - Crouch Slash
The Messenger horizontally slashes his sword with his left hand to the left
This is his in game crouching attack

Dash Attack - Quick Draw
The Messenger will do a quick dashing slash
Loosely based off how he attacks after using the rope dart on enemies

Neutral Air - Twirl Slash
The Messenger will twirl around, slashing in a circle all around himself
Similar to :marth: and :isaac:’s neutral airs, but not tilted

Forward Air - Aerial Slash
The Messenger horizontally slashes his sword with the left hand to the left
Similar to :ichigo:’s forward air, but no forward movement
This is his in game aerial attack
If this hits an opponent or projectile, you gain your double jump back (the cloud jump)

Back Air - Charged Slash
In the game there’s a mechanic you can buy where if do don’t use your sword for 3 or so seconds, your sword will be charged to 2-3 times the damage
This is that animation, but backwards
Great kill move

Up Air - Crescent Slash
The Messenger will slash quickly in an arc above his head
Similar to :ichigo:’s up air, but much faster, no flipping, and with one hand

Down Air - Gliding Slash
This is the animation of attacking while gliding
The Messenger will lie horizontally and slash horizontally downwards
This can spike

Side Smash - Charged Slash
This is the powered up slash mentioned under the back air
Great kill move

Up Smash - Charged Crescent Slash
The Messenger does his powered up slash, but above him
Similar to :link: and :ichigo:’s up tilts

Down Smash - Charged Crouching Slash
The Messenger does his powered up crouching slash on either side
Similar to :link:’s down smash

Neutral Special - Rope Dart
The Messenger shoots out his rope dart
If this hits an opponent, the Messenger will be pulled towards his opponent (similar to :luffy:’s side special)
When he reaches his opponent, he will slash at them, causing him to be bumped up a little (similar to when :sora: uses his aerials)
Hold forwards for you to end up on the opposite side of your opponent
If you don’t hold forwards, you will stay in front of them
In the air this will give you your double jump back if it lands
This is a tether in the air

Side Special - Shuriken
The Messenger will throw a shuriken forwards
This move can be charged by holding the special button
While charging, the ki meter will appear above the Messenger
As you charge the ki slots will empty, with there being three slots in total
The number of empty ki slots indicates how many times the shuriken will hit
Example: a fully charged shuriken will hit the opponent three times, while an uncharged shuriken only hits once

Side Smash Special - Windmill Shuriken
This is inputed like :samus:’s super missile
The Messenger will throw forwards his windmill shuriken, which acts like a boomerang
This shuriken will always hit the opponent in the direction it’s moving
Unlike the gale boomerang, this shuriken will keep boomeranging until it returns to the Messenger

Up Special - Updraft and Paraglider
An up draft will appear below the Messenger and he will begin to glide
The Messenger will be blow upwards by the updraft
After going up, you can keep gliding until you land or grab a ledge
You have full horizontal control while gliding
Press attack to slash your sword downwards, similar to your down air
This attack will bounce you up and give you your double jump back if it lands
Press special to use your rope dart, which will end the move and put you into freefall if it misses

Down Special - Shopkeeper
The Shopkeeper will teleport in with his wardrobe
The wardrobe will be open, and any nearby opponents will be trapped in it (this is a command grab)
After 1 second, the opponent will be spat out, dressed in one of Shopkeeper’s robes
Then after 1 second, the opponent’s robe will explode while Shopkeeper gestures towards the opponent
If this command grab misses, Shopkeeper will just laugh at the Messenger

Grab - Grab
Just a standard grab with both hands

Pummel - Knee
The Messenger will knee the opponent, similar to :sonic:’s pummel

Forward Throw - Horizontal Slash
The Messenger will slash at the opponent with one hand, knocking them away

Back Throw - Quick Draw
The Messenger will perform a dashing quick draw on the opponent

Up Throw - Rope Dart Spin Toss
The Messenger will spin the opponent around with the rope dart
After three spins he will toss them upwards
This is a great kill throw

Down Throw - Slam
With both hands, the messenger will slam the opponent on the ground

Ledge Attack - Horizontal Slash
Similar to his down tilt

Ledge Attack over %100 - Charged Slash
Similar to his down smash, but only in front of him

Get Up Attack - Spin Slash
The Messenger will spin around, slashing on all sides of himself
Similar to :link:’s up special

Shield Stance - Block With Sword
The Messenger will block with his sword

Dodge Roll - Backflip
Similar to his in game recover jump after he gets hit

Spot Dodge - Crouching Dodge
The Messenger will get down low, dodging any attack

Air Dodge - Spin
The Messenger will twirl in the air

Neutral Taunt - The Scroll
The Messenger takes out the scroll and holds it above his head

Side Taunt - Quarble
Quarble will appear, write down something on a scroll, and disappear

Vertical Taunt - Future Hat
The Messenger will put on his hat that he wears in the future
This is on him similar to a Kirby hat, so the Messenger doesn’t have a set of new sprites wearing the hat
Press vertical taunt again to take off the hat

Final Smash - The Thing
The Messenger will raise his fist, teleporting away
The Architect’s robot will then rise up from the background and charge up a hand laser
While the laser is charging have complete control of a reticle, similar to :zerosuitsamus:’s final smash in Smash Ultimate
When the laser is full charge, the robot will fire it at the stage where ever the reticle is

Victory - New Item
The Messenger gets a new item from a chest

Lose - Clap

:kirby: Hat - the Messenger’s future hat
:chibirobo: Can Pocket - shuriken, windmill shuriken
:ness: Can Absorb - nothing
