Huh... I haven't really encountered any good Bomberman's yet, I destroy all of them, except one, but I still won. Bomberman has alot of options as a character, like ALOT. His camping abilities are win, plus he's pretty strong despite his small arms (especially dat throwing powa). Bombs basically pressure everybody, badly. Though something I've been noticing is that most Bomberman mains tend to focus on just planting the bombs, and not actually blowing up stuff. I'm guilty of doing this too at times, but that's only because I don't try very much. Range is a bit lackluster though, considering his size... He's kinda like Marth in that regard.

Does anybody find it a bit much how Bomberman can have five bombs on stage at time? In Brawl people complain about Diddy Kong's bananas.
People complain about Nariuto's clone mine.
But Bomberman beats all that. Unlike bananas where there can only be two, and clone mines where there can only be one, there can be five bombs on stage at a time.
Also, unlike.the temporary bananas and temporary clone mines, Bombs can remain onstage forever.
Lastly, while bananas and clone mines can start or.continue combos, Bombs can KO, and combo at any moment the Bomberman player feels the need to do so.
I believe the amount of bombs on stage should be limited to two.

Bomberman has to stop to trigger the bombs, the 'nanners and clones trigger automatically. Diddy's bananas are also way better due to the item control with glidetossing (which practically unlock zero-to-deaths), Bomber's are more or less stationary except for s-spec which moves them a fixed distance. Bomberman's total bomb count has also been reduced, from a maximum of 9 to a maximum of 5. The bombs are the core of Bomberman's gameplay. If he gets reduced to two, he can't control a lot of stage space. He gets relegated to the low tier for sure. In order to set up the better bombs, he has to spend more time in a vulnerable position. Finally, all of the stage that he controls disappears when he d-specs because all of his bombs detonate, thus he has to take time to set up his game again.

Here's the thing. While Bomberman's stage control and camping game ARE major, he suffers from severe weaknesses that keep him balanced. You can basically do whatever you want to him when you hit him. He's basically a slightly floatier version of Fox, so he's vulnerable to alot of things regarding combos. Not to mention he's a big target with an average (and gimpable) recovery. Just don't let him back get away if you pressure him. If he gets time to think, he'll go back to spamming bombs. Stay aggressive, but not reckless. Sorta like the Olimar MU from Brawl.

Whoa, Didn't knew that. Gotta try it next time I play as him. Ahh... Good ol' Bomberman. I must say I enjoy playing as him a lot. His up special, his bombs, and both F and B aerials are good killing moves. Plus, he's capable of pulling off some great combos if used the correct way.
