There has been an increase in bots I noticed,what's up with that?

I have not seen any of these bot topics, where are you seeing them? ._. I need to look around the forums some more.

There was one that was recently in the General Flash section of the site, but it seems to be gone now. Weeks ago, I get new topic notification emails with odd titles posted in the suggestions/problems subforum. The mods are a bit quick in removing the topics imo, so it's hard to spot a bot topic before it vanishes.

And this is exactly the reason why. As mods, contrary to popular belief, we are not omniscient. lol Meaning that we will not always know when or where a bot topic comes up. The best thing that one can do when they come upon a bot is to simply report the topic. That will alert us as to where it is and deal with the situation.

Also, I think Cleod said he is looking into means to strengthen security to prevent bot accounts. However, as it is his senior year, and a hectic period for him presently, he won't be able to deal with it for a while.
