... NO, that is not how you use the quadratic equation. In fact that was horribly wrong. Just distribe, combine the like terms, move allvariables to one side and all constants to the other, divide, NOW you are home free on the equation. I just hate doing review math. Although now a quadratic equation is review. I'd say why not a factoring problem? you know like: x<squared>-10+100... It's a simple triinomial square... anyways of course that's not the problem because that's too easy. Someone finish this problem... I despise review.

Although technically there are 3 solutions, only 1 of them is real-valued (Which I gave). To find the other 2, you would have to divide the current equation by (x-.87060047) and then use the remaining equation in the quadratic formula, which will give you 2 imaginary roots... which I'm too lazy to do.

Well, there's 3 solutions, like any 3rd-order equation. The first one is obviously 0, and the other 2 are found with a simple quadratic formula. However, you get an imaginary answer. It's (-1400/3717 +/- Sqrt (.1621298184)i)/4200/3717. Pretty simple.

That's my slightly factored solution. Wait, I'll improve on it:

x/3.717 (21 x^2 + 14 x + 5) = 0
If 21 x^2 + 14 x + 5 = 0, then
x = (-14 [+/-] sqrt [196-105]) / 42

So, in my reckoning,
x = 0, -1/3 [+/-] (sqrt [91])/42

Gawd!

Well I really can't do this, I remember a few things from an advance remedial program from grade school, but not this.

This is basic basic basic stuff, anyone who passed 6th grade should easily, no anyone who passed 5th grade should easily do this. It's my birthday, I'm not even going to get anything and I am pissed so, II refuse to solve it on account of two things. A. I'm having a very bad day B. It's my birthday.
