For those that don't know, Microsoft recently announced its new all-in-one desktop computer, the Surface Studio. Basically, it's a 28" all-in-one that can swivel down to a tablet like state. It features a satisfactory color-accurate screen for most uses, xbox wireless integration, and a digitizer built into its massive screen. The price tag is steep (starting at $2999), but the idea is wonderful. As an animation hobbyist (actually with some contracted work on my plate now), the idea of having an all-in-one desktop with a Cintiq like screen is incredibly appealing.

The device is particularly interesting because the floodgates should now be open for Microsoft's partners to make the own (probably much cheaper) take on the product.

What are all y'all opinions on something like this vs say an iMac with a Cintiq? I'm probably going to be looking into something of the sort within the next few years.
