Tails is fine in Beta, he thrives in the air, and Airlift is up to the player's discretion to spam. When I play tails (almost never) I mostly play campy with Robot and Blaster and ocasionly use Airlift for a kill.

Ok, i have had enough, HOW the HECK do people manage to do the Mother Brain event?

I try spamming nuetral B, get KO'd no matter how many frame perfect dodges i do

I try using melee air attacks, and i get combo'd into oblivion until i got knocked out

If i stay in one place to hit her a pellet will blast me out of no where, and i get KO'd by the mother beam.

I have to say i am running out of options here.

EDIT: actually did it, just took some ledge immunity and ledge dodging to get enough damage in through melee.

Get a charge shot, let brain get her first Laser Brain, then spam missiles.

I might do that if i ever need to do the event again
