Lately in my online game lots of people have been showing a "Smash Brother's" type of respect to me. For example I've messed up and got over excited and fell off the stage without even getting one hit on my oppenent, and realizing this he jumps off and sort of "pays" for the accident, losing 1 stock of course. I'm starting to love online matches even more. Who wants to play? Has this happened to you as well?

I do this unless said person was spamming something. So many Soras. So many SDs.

Yup, I do this unless my opponent is incredibly tough, so tough that I have no way of winning without taking advantage of that SD.

I do it as well, I believe in that if a mistake happens you should even the tide up. but if they are suiciding repeatedly I have specifically set a certain conditions I just stand there and wait unless I am attacked, I do have an honor code for smash games, always have.

I actually don't like courtesy SDs. It's just that you can play the next match and make sure not to SD. Learn from mistakes.

Plus, epic things happen when you're stocks down.

I do honor stocks sometimes, but not all the time. If I'm taking a match remotely seriously, then I'm not gonna honor stock.

In srs bsns matches, if I accidentally SD and lose stocks, then I'd prefer my opponent to keep his stocks intact. I want to try if I can make an epic comeback to make him mad.

I would only honor a stock if i saw that the sd was clearly accidental. However sometimes I wouldn't if the player keep sding or if it was the fault of the player because i feel that it is important to learn from your mistakes and if their tough i take advantage of their sd.

if it's just one SD, then fine ( if i'm in a nice mood). if it repeatedly happens, then i'll just allow myself a free win.

I wish people would honor stock me. There are too many matches where I suicide like 2 times (because lag), and I would have clearly won.

I also honour SD if I think my opponent is worthy (aka, does not spam and stuff). I have also done a fair few stupid SDs due to me pressing buttons in the wrong order (when its supposed to be ^ + B then > to recover, I accidentally press > before ^ + B making me do a boomerang instead of recovering or I mistime a landing and I fall off while shooting instead of landing >.<). It is nice that majority of the time, my opponent would also honour SD for me. Once, I accidentally SDed twice so my opponent did likewise and I ended up hosting another match for him just for a better playing field ^-^. This was all against playing randoms online. (Yesh, I suck xD)

Eh, I usually give people some respect (or taunt them) by SD'ing about all my stocks but one, then battling them out and trying to win, which I still happen to have done on two occasions. But hey, I give them respect if they come close, as I'll show them true fighting spirit and play!
