Anyway, should I get this game even if I haven't played the first 2 Assasin's Creed games (only played Brotherhood) or is the story too complex for that?

Well the first one you don't need to play but II and Revelations are still good to play anyway

just go read about it on a wiki or watch a playthrough on youtube or something if you're really lost

Also, got my copy of AC3, unable to play because I need to pay attention to GF... Damn it.

I see AC3 isn't getting the immense praise it was anticipated to receive. I'm imagining it will place 3rd on my list.

Whatcha talking about? I haven't heard any real complaints, and high scores across the board, 8.5 and up. Reviewers are loving the s*** out of it, and it's way too early to start listening to what players are saying, they only got it today.

I just feel the Desmond part of the game was too unsubstantial

From what I've heard, the main problems are inconsistency and bugs. Also heard the animal AI was pretty dumb.

I'm into sequence 7, so far I've seen less bugs than I did in AC2 Venice, which was pretty bad by the series standard, this is more average for a sandbox game, I'd say. (excluding Bethesda ones, cause f*** bug checking)

animal AI isn't great, and the animals are a bit slow to run away, but when they do, those f*** raccoons break land speed records, man.

Honestly, my biggest issue with the game so far is the plot, it's good overall, but there are some things that are obviously huge spoilers that nag at me a bit. Beyond that, I've been enjoying my time with it a lot so far, both single player and multiplayer... Just wish people would stop running around like retards in the multi, but it'll be a few weeks before those idiots will wise up or stop playing.

Oh, and sometimes there are pretty huge/annoying load times.

As it goes on, I'm liking Revelations more and more. Same for AC3? Heard it gets good after sequence 4 or whenever the first big time lapse occurs.
