To be honest, Nintendo doesn't have much sequels... I never seen most of em... They don't have any planned storyline (Which is not what we play games for) and theres no timeline of when occurs in when... So honestly, they're just remakes of Classics... I don't really see any games that are considered sequels except ones with numbers or obvious sequel titles like Mario Kart 7, Kirby Return to Dreamland and Super Mario Galaxy 2...

Are you guys 12? This remake trend from Nintendo has only started up this last year or so. There was Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES, but even that had a previously-unreleased-to-the-states game in it.

There are lots of nintendo sequals, idk what you guys are talking about.
Mario & Luigi super star saga, Partners in Time, Bowsers Inside Story. (Or RPG1 2 and 3)
Paper Mario 1, Paper Mario 2, Super Paper Mario..
Zelda Ocarina of Time, Zelda Majoras Mask.
Mario Galaxy 1, Mario Galaxy 2.
Zelda wind waker, zelda phantom hourglass, zelda spirit tracks.
Oracle of seasons, oracle of ages. (if both of them played, in any order, they connect)

And way more than that, especially if you count individual entities within the same franchise as "sequels" to previous installments, which I think most people would.

What the hell? What about Super Smash Bros.? They count. Also Metroid, Kid icarus, Pokemon (Chronologically, Generation II is before Generation V which is before Generation IV), Super Mario 3D Land, and Fire Emblem.

It's a bit of an oddball, you see, the looking for an old friend part may refer to Skull Kid. Clearly, various references are made to OoT during the game, but the most prominent one points out where it stands in the timeline: In one Flashback, you see Zelda teaching Link her melody on the Ocarina of time. You see, at the end of Ocarina of Time, Link clearly gives the Ocarina back to Zelda. However, the timeline splits in two here: -Adult Link manages to send Ganondorf to the Dark Realm and returns peace to Hyrule -Young Link and Young Zelda manage to foil Ganons plan before he puts it in motion, Ganon gets imprisoned in the Twilight Realm. What I think, is that Majora's Mask is a direct sequal to the ending of Young Link's story, indicating that after foiling Ganons plot in the past, Zelda lets him keep the Ocarina, wich he still posses when venturing into Termina. Wind Waker continues after the Adult ending, with Ganon imprisoned in the Dark Realm for ages. So it is indeed debatable whenever MM is a sequal to OoT, since OoT shows the ending of Adult Link. It's not debatable, it's confirmed by Word of God. Majora's Mask is chronicling what Link does after going back in time and warning everyone about Ganondorf.

Idk im with Tid on this one. This is from the opening of the game. In the land of Hyrule, there echoes a legend. A legend held dearly by the Royal Family that tells of a boy... A boy who, after battling evil and saving Hyrule, crept away from the land that had made him a legend...Done with the battles he onces waged across time, he embarked on a journey. A secret and personal journey...A journey in search of a beloved and invaluable friendA friend with who he parted ways when he finally fulfilled his heroic destiny and took his place among legends... If thats not enough, right after that last line navis sound effect is played.

Never thought that LoZ would be that complicated, always thought that every LoZ game had a story of its own and no connections.

Most of them do. (Well I wouldn't say no connections) They are all connected in some way or another. But the only direct sequals are ocarina of time -> majoras mask, and wind waker -> phantom hourglass. and orcale of ages and seasons but thats kind of complicated. Also it could be debated that Links Awakening is supposed to take place after beating the linked game of oracle of ages and seasons.
