Real smart on Nintendo part to release the 3DS and Wii U versions separately. They know that the 3Ds version will make the media and fans concentrate on that one, and making the Wii U closer to Christmas will move (even if it doesn't save the console) more units.
But this also makes the possibility of a 3DU Smash bundle closer to none, it is still a smart from Nintendo Also they will probably complete the 3DS version first, but they still benefit from it in some way _________________  Sakurai Fanfic continues |

That was a super awesome direct. Loved seeing all the new stuff, I got up out of my seat when I saw Greninja. And the translator almost got me when he said ZSS wasn't going to be in it. Excited for stage bosses and more than one final destination. A little afraid that Squirtle might not make it though. Otherwise, Smash for Wii U has convinced me that I now NEED a Wii U to survive.

Oh, and because Squirtle and Ivysaur weren't revealed, I'm kinda neutral on the "No Brawl Roster cuts" policy. Unless they're separate characters, which would be spectacular.

I saw the character reveals.
Most(or all) people I know see me as an overly negative person, but I prefer the term "critical". I mean, what's the point of gleefully raving about positive stuff? You're just telling people things they see in plain sight. But that being said, like always, I have some gripes. Or rather, one huge gripe. Looking at the info I got from Nintendo Direct, it would seem to me like our friends at Nintendo are sticking up one middle finger after another. I don't even say that personally, I actually mean several groups of fans should more or less expect disappointment. Did you want Saki in? Ha lol ur funny, says Nintendo. All those years Ridley has been called for as a playable character? Well guess what? He's probably gonna be a boss, and if not, you'll have to wait for a LESS important event to see your favorite space pirate to make the cut! Did you hate Fludd and prefer Mario's spinning attack thingy? Too bad, douchebag, says Nintendo, we're keeping it present. And they didn't say one word about all this "Namco Character in Smash" business. It would have been nice to know whether or not they were even considering it. That's not to say all news was bad news. Greninja and Charizard showed up, which is cool. I hope Charizard makes it in as a solo, but if they do that, it means anyone who warmed up to the Pokemon Trainer from Brawl can go shove it with the Saki fans. They announced some cool online mode s*** that I don't really care for. To be honest, the main thing I saw coming for ND were some hardcore character reveals and rumor diffusion(i.e. the Namco character thing). Maybe it was stupid to expect something so comparatively unimportant, but it's hard not to be disappointed.
