What about Link vs. DK? People say that Link beats DK in that MU, but I always seem to get bopped. Maybe it's because of my lack of MU knowledge and i was wondering if anyone had the same problem.

I really like the MU: you get really good juggles on DK, good edgeguards, and he has a really tough time approaching if you camp. You can just spam Boomerang and Bomb and that works for me. Zair is also a useful tool to hit DK as he approaches. If you get a good hit or a grab, you can get him in the air and get solid combos off of uair strings. If DK gets in, you have utilt, usmash, up-b, and SH aerials as good close-range options.

How strong is Link? Is he one of the stronger characters?

Definetly one of the campier ones, especially online. He is better if you fight at a distance as his projectiles give you no air to breathe at all. I dunno if he is the best, but I´d say upper mid-tier for sure.

Ah I see. So I have to keep my distance and let DK approach me instead of the opposite. Doesn't sound too hard, but my link really isn't all campy and It doesn't use boomerang. I guess that would be the only time I have to.

Has anyone noticed that bombs sometime does 19% damage?

Honestly, I rather fight a Link that abuses Boomerang, because at least it has predictability. Arrows are stupid making edge-guarding easy, and Bomb Arrow is just retarded.

Hello, Do you have any suggestions for the Link vs. Ichigo MU?
I need a reliable counter for Ichigo's side special...

If you get a hard read, just fsmash for 24%. Otherwise, just jump: if they side-special under you, dair them or Boomerang them if you can't reach them with your sword. I like this MU, because Ichigo doesn't have very many good approach options against Link's projectiles.

Does anyone else think the KB on Link's uair is a tad ridiculous? As far as I can tell, you can't really DI out of it (unless you're a floaty maybe?), and the last hit smacks you out at a super low %. I don't see why that should be a kill move.

I've never considered that. But Tails can't get out of it necessarily. IF you are close enough to Link's body I don't think there's anything you can do but take all of the hits.

Uh yeah. Your sword is like a small stick compared to DK's big bulky arms. Projectiles are your friends for this MU. Only approach if you know your melee attack will hit.



His specials are pretty much the only good moves he has, not to mention you can jump over all of them as ridiculously simple as it sounds. All his other moves that have speed lack range. Alot of it.

I ment in this matchup. DK can pretty much shield grab all your melee attempts cuz your sword is small.
