Yeah, but I was hoping for a nod to the original NES version or Of Myths and Monsters. Those games were sick, and had some pretty good content to put in stages as reference. I could've imagined an OMM stage being scrolling, repeating the first stage's layout till the checkpoint, then loop.

At least Sakurai's self aware about how many f*** Zelda items there are. There are other Nintendo games, man.

I don't even like Zelda that much

Just about every new item thus far has been from either the Zelda series or from Uprising. The only exceptions (iirc) are the Steel Diver gun and the Hocotate Ship.

to be fair, zelda (as a series) has a s*** of items too

so it makes sense for smash bros. to have a s*** of zelda items

Yeah, I mean. Their quality as items isn't affected at all by which game they came from

Animal Crossing also has hundreds of items but not a single one has made it in Smash (bar the ones used in Villager's moveset)
