I just got this idea after seeing another topic about SSF2 in this section, this is only an idea that just popped into my head

EDIT: If this is not possible in any way, can a mod lock this topic?

I am Ganon and I support this idea.

But make it depend on how long they have been a member not post count or maybe a combo of both. Otherwise n00bs will spam like crazy just to ask "cud mastachef bi in?!?!? :headbang: :headbang: hed be graet!!!   "

I think he means only a group of people can post in Ideas. I don't like that idea, what if someone has a good idea and isn't in here.

I'm not about to make a topic for my idea, since its based off of this one, soo...

I remember on this other forum I've been on where new users were not allowed to make ANY topics for a certain amount of days after registering. (I think it lasted about a month, maybe 3 weeks.) They could post, but not make any topics.

I think that its a good idea. After all, it would stop pointless topics everywhere, those who only want to join to post pointless topics and such would not have the patience to wait a month for the privlige, while those who want to be here for a better reason would just accept it and stay.

And before you say it, There was no new user section.

Instead what happened was that every friday 1 topic was made where newbies could pop up, say hello and introduce themselves. By the next friday the topic would be deleted and a new one would be made. In order to make things more fun the topic also had an activity on the first post for both newbies and vetrians could play as an ice breaker. If you posted in this section you usually upped your chances in getting in the good books with those who aren't newbies.

Is a good idea, but it's extremely complicate.

I'm not aware of a way to do this, but if I can find out I'd definitely consider it

You posted one too many times! You had 1337 O:<

But anyways, make a usergroup called Newbies, give them no topic creating rights and give them everything else (except locking others topics and moving them), and get a mod that auto-places everyone in that group after they create their account.
