I'm thinking about making an RP.

Does a murder mystery where you and other detectives attempt to solve it, promised fame and fortune, sound appealing to anyone?

I guess, but it depends. What's your story, besides what's listed above.

I was planning on doing something like this myself. Will you PM one of the characters that join and tell them that they're the murderer?

I'm not quite sure which direction to take. The one where they go to a random village and one of the villagers is the murderer, or if it's going to be clue style, where one of them is the murderer.

I'm leaning towards the latter, but I have a somewhat solid story for the former.

The Murder in the Silent Village

It's a dark night in the town of St. Reverene. A man named Avery Wallis sits and drinks his evening tea. A few seconds later, he slowly drops to the floor.
His wife stares at him, bewildered. Realizing he was dead, she ran around the house frantically, waking the children with her violent footsteps, silently drawing out flyers and pasting them around the town.
You see, there were no police in this area, so she had to rely on the town. The townsfolk did not solve it, so these flyers slowly
made their way across the world, via mail, internet, etc., inviting master detectives and officers alike to the town, promised fortunes beyond their beliefs.
There's a catch though. All the villagers in this town are mute, and will not speak.

This is where you come in.

As detectives and officers, you will split into 2 man teams to solve this murder and satisfy your hunger for wealth.

When you start the game, you will begin in the town hall. You may investigate a number of places.

*The House
*The Morgue
*The Library
*The Town Hall Itself
*The Store
*The Fields
*Outskirts of the Town

Each of these has many parts to search.

When you find a clue, I will reveal it to you by PM. You may choose to reveal it or not to the others. Some may be straight forward, while others may be quite a riddle to solve.

Both sound interesting, though the latter will probably be harder to do, since the murderer won't be able to do a lot but sit tight and wait for most of the RP.
