So what do you think of the New Mario Kart 8 game from E3?

the new mario kart looks really good,i like it's graphics but sadly i don't really like this new playstyle about gravity changes. They're just too simple idea for a game like this,and also it was used in many other really old racing games like crash bandicoot racing for ps2 and sonic riders zero gravity,(also for ps2)

I saw it when I went to Wal Mart for the E3 event. It did look nice, but it didn't have (or at least show) any new power ups, and in fact, only showed things like the shell. It's probably to keep it a secret, but still a little irritating.

Pochiman: I like the new gravity change thing I think that it was a good idea to add I guess they did kinda rip it of F-Zero. But then again I guess I won't be able to say that until it gets released. Nintendo said that the new Mario Kart game will come out in April 2014 so that's good not too,too long away. Also was anyone pumped for the news of the game having the most amount of online modes the series has seen yet? I do enjoy the online in the Mario Kart series although hopefully they do get some improvements because the online had some errors in the series, I know that it is a possibility. I LOVE the graphics in the game too they look great. Also the game will run at 60 frames per second so THAT is also AWESOME! Hopefully the controls will work okay. I saw some footage @E3 by the way of some people using the gamepad and you don't have to use the motion controls so that's good for me because I was never fond of motion controls in Mario Kart Wii and 7 but there will be motion controls for those who like them.

Got to play it at the Best Buy event. Visuals are f*** gorgeous. No new items though, so no way to tell if there will be violent item rape.

Also, the best character is back.

What did you think of the new anti-gravity feature?

I played it at the demo booth in NY. Game felt like a mix of MK7 and CTR. It's basically identical to MK7 except with the anti-gravity thing, which is a direct rip from CTR. Not a bad thing, just doesn't really do anything new. Of course I'll still get it...

I think that they didn't show any items, like there was only a few maps. They either aren't finished, or didn't want to spoil anything.

The thing about innovation is it can only go so far. After 7 introduced gliding and swimming to the series, antigravity was really the best thing they could come up with without trying to make courses based on multiverse theory or something like that.

miyamoto says that they're not making a new f-zero game because they can't think of "a new idea" for it

so they just take f-zero and put it into mario kart instead

they said they were considering drilling underground and racing as the new gimmick in 8 but ended up going with antigrav instead

oh,drilling underground would be a great feature instead of an old, odd and very used idea
