It's rewarding you with an OHKO if you somehow get all three of the pieces in the chaos of the battle that ensues AND somehow aim it properly to hit someone else in the length of a couple seconds. The Dragoon isn't OP just because it's a OHKO; there are some setbacks to it, not to mention that although it's rare, it can be dodged.
Other risks include not being able to get all the pieces, being able to aim properly and predict your opponent's movements beforehand, and being disabled from getting any items or attacks in save for a Dragoon hit in the time that you have it. Sure, it's not a good item, but it's fair imo.

There's also the possibility of opponents knocking the piece(s) out of you and taking them for themselves.

imo the item's not op, but when it appears the whole match basically become a competition to see who can collect all the pieces first

I usually just turn the item off when I play

being able to miss an item that's a free shot in the first place isn't a risk
a risk would be something like dealing more damage while taking more damage or a character who can combo good but has to be precise

not to mention that it's incredibly broken during 1v1s. if i'm playing 4 stock against someone and they're carrying a piece, KOing them immediately lets me net that piece and get another KO and bring it down to 4-2. that's a load of s***.

the dragoon should be nerfed slightly to not be a guaranteed KO. or at least make it slightly easier to dodge. not much easier, but maybe not a 2-frame startup.
if a character had a moveset full of 2-frame startups everyone would be pissed off

This is just me looking to much into things, but to make Lucina's neutral special the same as marth's would make no sense. People have been saying that the picture of her attack in windy hill on her website profile is her neutral B when it's not, it's her Side B, I really hope that she has marth's melee side B attack due to her blade strength being balanced than through the tip.

how are you certain that's her side-B?
that looks a LOT like marth's neutral


plus it would make perfectly fine sense considering the origin of marth's neutral B

Well, there's a problem. Of course it's "broken" if you consider it in a 1v1 situation. Yet, if it's a 4 player free for all, Dragoon's not only harder to obtain, it's harder to aim. You have 3 different targets, and aiming for one isn't as easy while the other two are attacking them as well.

it's still just as broken, it's just moreso in 1v1
slightly less broken in free for alls, but it's still very powrful especially on a small stage like halberd


however, i'll admit that yeah it's not broken and i've been looking at this with a 1v1 mindset

it still needs to be nerfed slightly

The blue aura around her sword shows that it's a part of Sword Dance. It WOULDN'T fit perfectly because her strength is through the full blade, not the tip like Marth.

oh, the aura makes sense. but it still makes sense that she has the move
not only are her moves mainly thrusts in the actual game iirc, but shield breaker is based on the fact that rapiers do more damage to armored units. and guess what rapiers are exclusive to?

Who is buying the 3DS version? Comes out relatively soon. I hear about some people that are waiting until the full version, they're high IMO.
