From a representation standpoint? No, not at all.
From a gameplay standpoint? Arguably.

However I'm very sore about the Dante situation. Ideally they should put him in as his own character under "Classic Dante" or "Tony Redgrave." Realistically we'd be lucky if he's an alt costume.

Mr Sir, MGS4 Raiden is already participating in the show as it were.
It's the White Raiden skin you unlock at Lv. 10. Mind you, they included it into the game since it is the beginning skin in Metal Gear Rising: Revengance -PLUS- fans loved how pure bad-ass it was

My honest opinions for All Stars (As I haven't posted on here yet).
I love it. It's no brawler like Smash Bros, however it's solid. I love the characters in the roster. I feel they all prove to be excellent characters in their own way, however it's a given that quite a few of them need a bit of milk in their coffee...

I mainly play as either Kat, Drake or Sir Daniel. My favourite stage is "Invasion" closely followed by "Sandover Village". I don't care much for the upcoming Zeus character, however i can see much promise in Issac.

A common question that keeps coming up in forums is "What is my dream roster?"
I've recently played and completed Tomb Raider with 81% completion. I loved the game start to finish. I enjoyed the character development of Lara and the gameplay very much. The game proved to be one of the best games i've played in recent years. Lara has been with Playstation since it's origins and I personally would be happy to see her as a downloadable character.

I also believe that Wander would prove to be a excellent character in this game. As would Sora, Crash, Raziel (from Soul Reaver, also the same team behind the new Tomb Raider *Possible Rivals *) and as everyone keeps wishing....Cloud. I can just imagine him actually being a lot like Sir Daniel and that just makes me so much more keen to try him.

I also wanna add; I expect to see Naked Snake in there SOMEWHERE!. Seeing as how Ground Zeroes and arguably The Phantom Pain are gonna have Naked Snake as the main protag, the cameo of Raikov would be pretty damn sweet!

Isn't White Raiden based on Raiden's starting gear in Rising? I thought said gear was different from the samurai-like body featured in Guns of the Patriots. The helmet thing he had in GotP is notably lacking in the White Raiden costume, for example. And I don't recall the transparent blue breastsplates ever being in his design in GotP either.

the actual MGS4 Raiden costume is available as DLC in Rising too

Raiden gets off on cutting people to shreds as well.
