So Fairy Tail finally returned today! I've been looking forward to it's return. I was holding back from reading the manga so I could enjoy the anime. Anyone else been waiting for this? The f*** up thing about this hiatus is that it happened smack in the middle of the Grand Magic Games arc.

Why don't you like it, out of curiosity?

My problems with it are;

the action is pretty terrible, most of the fight scenes are that type of animation where they only show shots of people being punched, but not the animation itself.

I had a problem with the way the story was progressing for a while, but ever since the tenroujima arc, it's been better.

It has it's problems but I've become a fan, what can I say. I wouldn't call it an amazing series or anything like that.

Also I love how frequently it gets new openings 8)

Wth in the middle of this serious tournament, 2 girl characters got matched up, and they had a swimsuit-off.

THAT WAS THE ENTIRE EPISODE

I had a friend that was completely insane about Fairy Tail, he just kept telling me every single day like 10,000,000,000,000,000 times, "You must watch Fairy Tail! Is incredibly badass! You will love it!".
After 5 months I got tired of that and started reading the manga, you know, to avoid fillers and that kind of stuff. At the beginning I only did it to keep my friend's mouth closed about that, but after some hundreds of chapters I started to kinda like the series.
It's not my personal favorite, but it's worth your time if you ask me. I decided to start watching the anime at the, guess what, tournament saga, right when they decided to cancel the anime. Lol. I thought it was bad luck, and I felt to lazy to watch the anime from the beginning and had to settle with the manga, but I guess that my luck has returned.

I dislike it for those two facts you already stated, and because the character designs are overall pretty dumb and generic

like we got a f*** here, and then a generic boobster, and still going like that

the story can get boring sometimes, too

i find funny how just mirajane and jenny showing here tits with swimswits was an entire episode, and nothing else happened in it

Why did you watch that many episodes if you hate it so much? just wondering.

But I don't mind the character designs, I actually like them.

Lucy is my favorite 8) One of the things I like about Fairy Tail is how the story is kind of told through Lucy's perspective.

Personally, idk about watching it. I even stopped reading it but if they actually continue the anime until the Daimatou enbu arc ends then I'll watch it. I don't feel like watching fillers (I finished the Daimatou arc a loooong time ago but I stopped 1 chapter after). I always prefered to read Hiro's work than watching it.

Also I don't trust that opening at all, look at all the other opening and look how much everything is perfect when you watch them: Smooth animation, good quality animation...
