I never said I liked the idea I did say it was a good idea though,
The only reason I wrote that out is because I believe that if anything like this was to be implemented it would probably cause more problems unless it was handled properly.

@DVDV:
Would you "Live with it" if someone got you warned under false accusation/reasoning?

Also that reason was because the person that was PMing me was telling me to die and called me retarded so when I proved all his points wrong he made this suggestion and never said anything of significance again. All i'm saying is that if this was to be implemented that it would be abused the f*** out of.

Lastly the Mods and Admins should be doing their job no matter how hard or difficult it is, although i'm sure if something like this was to be implemented they would do it in a much easier way.

In the words of the great Basil Fawlty; shut up.

And to pull in another one of his quotes. "You know NOTHING." For god's sake, everyone is talking about a blocking mechanism that would allow a single person to stop receiving PMs from another single person. Why the heck should the mods/admins look at every individual case? If two idiots wanna be dramatic over the idiot, they can be my guest. Just leave us out of it.

Well put, I guess the reason I was saying so much about it was because the original poster was bugging me earlier.
I still want to state that you could still report people for useless spam which isn't common, just blocking them isn't fixing the problem.

It fixes the problem for the person but it doesnt fix the problem for the forum because to me it seems obvious that anyone spamming PM's are going to be spamming the forums.

No, people can spam by PM much more frequently because there are only two witnesses.
The spammer and the victim.
Spamming through a forum can have as many witnesses as it will allow.
Therefore, someone who spams through PM need not necessarily spam through forum
Case closed

And if they spam on the forum, it's an open and shut case to shut them up with a ban to the face, which also negates your earlier... Point, I suppose I should call it, that we'd have to install some ridiculous system for handling PM complaints.

Please stop thinking that you're contributing to this conversation in any way, shape or form. You're not, and it's getting quite irritating.

Not bad. Sometimes I get PM's that say like "Hi" and "Are you online?", but I don't care. Then they send another damn PM and I reply.

I agree with this function.

When you're viewing your inbox, to the left side you see a link saying "Rules, folders & settings".

If sender is [name], delete message.

There you go. Simple.

And thus yet another topic has been completed. :lock:
