Maby you know about this because you've done this yourself? Who are you to tell me who I am and what kind of person I am? Here's my point for you people who don't seem to get things really quick You only get one life to live. I see that death is inevitable and I understand that. The terrors death gives me when I think about it can sometimes get to me but as a human I push it aside day by day and ignore it's possibility. This terror of the inevitable is unique in us humans and I find how well we take it remarkable. I honestly don't believe in reincarnation so I believe this face that I have is the only one I will get. Some people are really upset about how they look and frankly I believe life is too short to be worrying about all that stuff. So that's what I meant about the mirror stuff. I'm not really trying to get you guys to argue with me, just stating what's on my mind. You don't have to be deep, and wise to say something as simple as that.

that's correct, i have done this myself, a lot of your posts remind me of posts ive made a few years back and i don't mean stuff within the year on this forum, if i've been like that it was just out of jest im not doing that. as I said, im just conjecturing. i am in no position to tell you what kind of person you are, just posing possibilities that I see from the situation.

I don't want to turn this into a s***, so this is my last post, but... Who are you to tell Adam who he is and what kind of person he is? This has got to be the most hypocritical thing I've seen in this thread.

Hey tsu, I don't want to sound offensive or anything but if I were you I'd probably stop posting for a while and try keep some of my thoughts to myself for a while. I'm just saying that because I know that kind of thing helps me out you know and I've been situations on here where everyone has hated me and told me I was the worst poster and argued against me and so on and so on.
On the topic of death though, I used to think that believing in life after death could be helpful and s*** for some people but I didn't believe in it at all and I just couldn't imagine anything other than losing consciousness and rotting in the ground. I understand now with more time and more experience what an ignorant f*** I was and how silly it is to try to form conclusions about death. Or conclusions at all for that matter.

Christ, you take pretentious to a whole new level. What do you honestly think makes more sense? That everyone disagreeing with you, who are all likely older and wiser than you anyway, just don't get it? Or that your point was so muddled and vague that it was easy to counter and pick apart. Then again it's really not hard to pick apart an opinion pulled out of your a**. I don't think you're trying to be edgy here and I can see where you're coming from because I used to think this way myself. But what I feel is that human life is remarkable. Do you know just how lucky we are to be alive? To have anyone stripped of it, unless truly suffering, should spark up at least a little sympathy. Maybe it's me being afraid of what I think is the likely possibility of nothing after death, but I dunno, you honestly feel nothing when someone dies?

No one I deeply know (like my dad, thank Christ) has died so I can't say I don't feel anything. But when you only hear about someone's death in some random chit chat it's impossible for emotions because at most they're just this "name". I saw the Budd Dwyer video and I didn't feel anything, but then again I used to watch videos of open brain surgery and I was kind of really gross as a kid so all the blood wasn't at all disgusting. I'm just conditioned to not feel it anymore. I can feel something thinking about if it happened to my dad or my sister, since they're very close to me. But if you spend enough years thinking it about it (and you get the catalyst like something I'm not going to say because it would sound stupid) you don't care anymore. It just falls out of your brain as fast as it enters.

tbf the image is so deeply ingrained within american culture that most of the details don't even register anymore. i've seen it printed on graphic t-shirts, even it'd have a similar effect going back to watch the columbine footage in 2015. sure at the time it was shocking but after almost 2 decades of media milking, made-for-tv documentaries & anti-this-and-that campaigns you know what to expect, it seems almost routine that's not to diminish the value of the lives lost. just the imagery alone has become almost a consumer commodity. one of the gross effects of late capitalism i guess
