He sort of is, he means in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Pheonix doesn't move his mouth with any of his lines. You said Damian should make it look like Phoenix was saying something, Zilch is saying that's what the devs of UMvC3 should have done.

idk man, it's just.........i don't really like the idea of having Mr. Wright with a "common" moveset than most characters have.........wondering if you could pull in the unique concept that UMvsC3 added to him, with the investigation, Court and Turnabout Mode. It's simple to pull that in if you ask me, just make one of the taunts to switch between investigation and court mode, and make neutral b "Questioning" (doing "Hold it" during Investigation/court mode, and "Objection!" when he has all the evidence and during Turnabout mode), and down b for search (on investigation) or present evidence (on court mode). Side B could be Maya (investigation mode) or paperwork (court and turnabout mode) it's not hard to translate the moveset and playstyle of a character into a different game, just need a bit of creativity, ![Wink ;)](images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) | ![](images/spacer.gif) |
I actually had a really cool Dspec in mind. Multi-stance characters are really hard to translate in Smash, because you're going to end up with with a Sheik/Zelda situation if you reach too far out, and that's not particulary something befitting Wright, to switch personalities (as far as I know, he isn't dr. Jackal and Hide). So what I'm aiming for instead, is a Phoenix Wright with a moveset that harks content from all of his stances in UMvC3 and combine it into one working moveset (with Ace Attorney as teh fundamentalistic base design for the overal playstyle, wich I'll dive in later if you guys want me too). The problem with those stances are that Smash Bros. utilses a different enviroment, so certain transision won't work at all or look like a farfetched duck. So instead I want to compose a moveset that makes use of Wright's basic abilities, Smash-ify them a bit, and take neccesary insipration from UMvC3 (and Ace Attorney vs Layton, if I can get my hands on that). From what I have written out so far, Wright doesn't exactly utilise a 'common' moveset. But then again, you'd have to think about what a common moveset in Smash really is. Is Mario the standard? Because if so, then Wright is special. If you want me, I can go into detail, so you can state your thoughts on that.

Hey Damian? You're a really good spriter, and, well, I created a moveset for The Nightmare from Metroid Fusion/Other M. I can't sprite him at ALL, so i wanted to know if you'd be willing to help. Just go to the expansion forums, scroll down to Expansion Requests, and click on: "[ Metroid ] Nightmare (2nd attempt cause of no response)"

Sorry guy, but I'm already short on time. I may look into it after 0.8, but no promises. Anyway, small update: ![Image](http://www.neuropod.net/imagehost/uploads/d1fe7e640bb2b1a5fc1ca081054a4b93.gif) I will need to fix some things on the Objection! so I might report that sooner or ater. I'll try to add mouth synchronisation too.

The reason the mouth isn't synchronized in the Level 3 was to reference the game's sprite animation. It was a good choice, if you asked me.

I thought that it would aid the overall motion, but I agree that it looks off. I strongly disagree. The sprite animations in Ace Attorney had even more mouth synchronisation then what they pulled in UMvC3. In general, MvC3 does a really bad job at mouth synchronisation (looking at you in particular, M.O.D.O.K.) and that's a shame because the voice clips are so good and some animations actually pull it off quite well (Super Skrull's win par example). I don't think that that all can be bundled as a reference. I think full mouth synchronisation was just too difficult to pull off, considering the alternative quotes.

Hm, I guess you're right, but at the same time it could have gone either way. There are plenty of animations that have good mouth wording. If they wanted to they could have done his wording fine, I always assumed it was a reference to the sprite animations, because it looked exactly like it. That's what I still believe, regardless. And I mean, in the sprites it's only two frames of mouth movement. Not much of an upgrade. That doesn't matter though, what does matter is how nice your Phoenix is coming out. He's very solid so far. And while I don't agree all that much with the moveset, that's not my territory since it's your expansion. Have fun.

The technique applied to create mouth synchronisation, is to create the mouth positions for A,E,O,U and I. From there on, they can create entire conversations, it's really quite interesting how they pull that off. Source: The same technique was explained and used in the stop motion movie (read; animation) The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is what I'll try to imitade for my Wright as well. Good sir, I beg your pardon?
