It lacks originality. All you did was show scenes from the anime. Where are the cool effects? Where are the overlapping scenes? You either need better editing software or to get better at editing.

No, you need to write out a plan, illustrate exactly what you wish to accomplish with individual panels. Find out key points in the song and sync them with impacting scenes from the anime. Don't just paste scenes in where you think they fit. For an example of great editing, watch these AMVs and copy some of their ideas. When you've practiced them enough, try thinking up your own themes and designs.

Notice how the effects match the beat and flow of the song perfectly.

[Skittles]
Using the upbeat nature of the song to portray a colorful and playful mood is what makes this one so great. Not to mention flawless lip syncing.

Yes, you can definitely take a lot away from these examples. But, just to drive the nail all the way into the board, watch this AMV and take note of the perfectness of it. Everything is just... smooth as silk. There is nothing wrong with it.
