Well, the number of copies it sold isn't really a good indicator toward how good it is. Lots of people play Fortnite and that game has sold zero copies, you know? Tons of people buy games like Call of Duty and Madden every year, but I don't like those games at all. Nobody I know plays them

I think when most people talk about why they didn't like this game, they'll often bring up all the glitches it had, or how weird it is that Sonic interacts with (and kisses??) a human girl. There's also the argument that the 3D Sonic games took a long time to hit their stride. Sonic never really made the transition that well; his games ended up being kinda awkward to control and the levels lacked the charm the old games had. I think most people only started to pay attention to the 3D games when Unleashed, Colors and Generations released (myself included)

Is Lost World that bad though? I liked how it tried to introduce something other than pure speed.

06 is the worst game ever created. Oh wait, it isn't a game, it's a tech demo! I forgot! Seriously tho, I hate Lost World, but there is no way Lost World is worse then 06.

at least lost worlds doesn't have notoriously long loading times

I gave up on Lost World when it had a goddamn stealth section in a Sonic game

06 is at least entertainingly bad, Lost World is just bland and boring. idk if I'd call it the worst Sonic game but it's definitely the one I had the least fun with

of the main ones at least, the worst Sonic game by far is the GBA port of Sonic 1

That's cause it takes advantage of Sonic's natural ability to turn into a ball and makes something fun out of it

It wasn't about going fast and yet it was fun

I know, I brought up the werewolf sections to give an example of not-so-good non-speedy Sonic and my first statement was just a complicated way of saying "It's fun because it's pinball"

Eh, the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog was great, I've replayed it later on , while I never replayed Lost World that much.

I guess the jury's decision is clear...

All the original Sonic the Hedgehog games just needed to implement some sort of save point function instead of starting over after dying three times. With that feature it would have been an awesome game series.

Now you have however many lives but the gameplay is crap and the series is so heavily story and character driven with writing and voice acting from a toddler cartoon or a mcdonald's commercial. So it's just there to exist as a kind of frustrating thorn in your side.
