SSF2's appearance on fangames that shouldn't be ceased or desisted did it for me. The Forums though was the result of the Wiki.

Bumping the topic, for others to share. Yeah, like the rest of the people, I'm here because of the SSF series.

Mine is a long story, but there you: I stumbled upon SSF1 back in the days it got featured on Newgrounds on 2006, cannot remeber if I found it because I typed Super Smash Bros. on Newgrounds searcher or was on the highlights section, but in anyway I played it and I enjoyed it for some time, but because my internet was limited during that time, I ceased playing it I forgot about it. About 2 years later, on June 2008, I re-found SSF1 and I re-played again but once again my limited internet drove me away from it again. But a month later, I got the casualty of googling Super Smash Bros. (because of Brawl), and everybody knows what highlights on the search bar when you have just type Super Smash... on Google: SUPER SMASH FLASH 2, I got to play v0.2a for the first time, and I totally loved it, even more than its predecessor. I got so hyped about SSF2, that I googled it, there I stumbled upon the SmashWiki who used to have an article about SSF2, at the bottom of said article, there was an External links section, thanks to these links I stumbled upon the McLeodGaming Wiki, where I became a regular editor to finally reach bureaucrat access, but it was very interesting that on the main page of the wiki, at the time I found it, someone added a banner that read: JOIN OUR FORUMS AND HELP US MAKE SSF2 AWESOME! and I was like, hell yeah! I want to help, and there it was, I clicked the link and joined the McLeodGaming Forums for the first time, I was very n00bish back then, but I eventually got used to it as my internet became more accesible. That's why I'm very fond to the wiki: for introducing me to the forums, and that's why I get so pissed when people harshes the wiki.

I found SSF1 on Andkon Arcade, clicked the link to come to MG, played SSF2, joined the forums to report a bug, and realized how terrible it was compared to Fancy Pants Adventures, then decided to sit in the Misc. and Vidya sections.

I came because of SSF1, like most people. I didn't have a 64 or Gamecube to play actual Smash, and I needed something to tide me over during the hype for Brawl.

Came here, made stupid posts, events occurred. This'll have been somewhere around five and a half to six years ago

i found the website after wanting to check out the website of the guys who created one of my favorite
flash games of all time (even if it sucked) and that was way back when we were still on the old forums. and the really old dojo with the chatbox i became a Mod on that thing that was fun

How long ago was that, that old dojo? I remember that i came there too
