I think they did this on purpose, but on the bright side, Mario is the only character in the game who is capable of running fast, and the only one who can swim.

His jump was nerfed so Rush would become useful. The Rush Jet should be in the game. That'd be great.

OK, since this level uses Bullet Bills, I recommend you stay small and use Link. I prefer you get him with a Fire Flower beforehand.
Of course, if you still think you can burn through the stage with Bill or Samus, I don't blame you. Go ahead, just be careful.
You can also use Simon and utilize his double-jumping powers. His axes are great against the 2 pairs of Hammer Bros. that'll appear later in the level. Just be aware that there are invisible blocks.
DON'T use Mega Man. His bullets do minimal damage and won't be enough against Bullet Bills, and it takes too long to charge up.

I've beaten the game with Simon and Samus.
They have 2 of the best jumps in the game...
Well... in Simon's case, he has what could possibly be THE best jump in the game as long as you have his easy jump mode enabled.
If not, then Samus' and Bill's jump will not disappoint.
I would say Mario still has one hell of a jump, but he feels like he's been made a bit more... slippery.

Samus = win
Samus owns the game. Can kill everything and can go as high as she wants. She can also crouch through bullet bills and her jump is really good.
Bill would be cool if his jumps weren't hard on small platforms.
Anyone played on impossible yet?
(Also, megaman can charge? Didn't notice lol, as I didn't like him)

Mega Man can charge as long as he has a Super Mushroom.
If he has a fire flower, he gets a fire buster, and his charge shots become more potent.

Are you serious? mega man is a robot or some android who use ultimate weapons to attack the strongest enemies from the battle.
