So I just beat Link's Awakening for the first time, I absolutely loved it. I think it's my favourite of the top down zeldas that I've played. I really liked everything about it, and even knowing the 'twist' going in, the ending was still powerful.

Darunia, Sheik and Ruto confirmed for playable characters. No Mikau as the Zora rep, sadly (although I guess it's still possible). So far, they've confirmed characters of Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword and now Ocarina of Time. Maybe Majora's Mask is next? We don't need to argue on main-series Shiek's gender/sex/whatever. But in this universe Fi (persumably) isn't inside the Master Sword, Midna's powers and mount are different and characters who were born centuries apart are interacting freely. It's a different universe, pure and simple. And if, in this universe, Shiek and Zelda might not be the same person. And if they aren't, I'd be totally okay with them opting to play mind games with who Shiek really is. Man, woman, whatever
