Seems to work, as long as you're careful about who gets let into the section, I guess there shouldn't be a need to limit topic creation rights like that.

I think there should be a few moderators (maybe 3) in that section, not necessarily to avoid missing anything, but to ensure the rules are still enforced in case a mod is biased towards a certain subject.

I'd definitely participate, but there's a lack of people on the forum who would actually take this seriously, even the more mature members.

I mean Spam IS Logical Discussion and arguments, just instead of it being about real subjects-its about useless subjects.

Basically why don't we create another exclusive club so all the members of said exclusive club and flaunt that they are superior.

@Whimzer: Obviously not. In all seriousness, it's just a bid for some sort of debate. There was a mild taste of it in the Other section and Current Events section, especially when Villerar was here, but what I want is for something more than that. More in depth, more widespread, less personal.

@Hakker: as I said, a gatekeeper for topics would be a nuisance. However, after considering it for a while, the fact that I never saw the "LD" forums probably is the reason why I'm against it. Personally, I'd prefer if that sort of thing was added if it becomes obvious that the second time around isn't any better than the first. Secondly, all of the mods I have an issue with can be counted with two fingers, and I'm not sure that you'd disagree with me in their regard.

@Snowflakecat: There would have to be some sort of rule against circular logic or something then. Also, the sort of debates I'm thinking of aren't things like "which movie is better?"

@Golem: You're obviously thinking of a different sort of debate to that which I am. Telling people you got Pokemon, asking why we don't have a google earth for a minecraft server and how Kyuubit's name is in a different font doesn't come under logical debate in my books. Spam will be perfectly safe and the introduction of a debate hall probably wouldn't even reduce the activity in the spam section.
